Daniel Sotian Yiankere took over as Security Manager at Loisaba Conservancy in 2017, after previously serving with KWS for 24 years in various Game Reserves and Parks across Kenya. During his time at KWS, he moved through the ranks from Ranger to Assistant Warden. He has demonstrated efficiency in his role, and achieved high success in operations against poaching, including one operation that involved collecting intelligence information that led to seizure of 81 pieces of ivory, night vision equipment, 50 rounds of heavy caliber and half a piece of rhino horn at Meru County on transit to China. At Loisaba, he has trained and disciplined a force of over 60 rangers, including an armed unit of 36 men. He continues to provide excellent security and anti-poaching services.
